This holiday would not be the same without some raw recipes on the table from my two most beloved chefs. Many of you in the raw foods community know and follow Susan Powers of Rawmazing and Amie Sue Oldfather of Nouveau Raw, but here is a bit of a backstory of my experience with their recipes. Huge respect and gratitude go to these great giants in the raw food world, and I wanted to share this love and respect with all of you. They've brough me so much joy, inspiration, and education, that it would not be a grateful holiday season without giving them a shout out for their incredible work.
I've included one recipe from each, with the hopes that you'll visit their sites for more and also support their work. Please do so - you will be a changed person (and a much better chef) :)
1. Susan Powers of Rawmazing: I've been reading Susan Power's blog and Rawmazing site and books for a while now...it all started with some raw pancakes I tried, and I was hooked. - instantly. What struck me was how simple the ingredients were but how delicoius and elegant the dishes came to be. For those of you who are new or even well versed in raw foods, Rawmazing is one of the best sites that I'd like to introduce you to to help you on your journey. Each one of Susan's recipes is a winner, and they're fool-proof....you'll end up being the hit of the party! And just in time for the holidays, I wanted to share with you one of her best holiday recipes and also an opportunity to check out her site and purchase her books and ebooks (which I highly recommend!) These are the types of books that you'll come back to again and again.

Of all the raw food sites out there in the vast world of the internet, Ame Sue's Nouveau Raw is one of the highest quality places for instant-hit recipes with a 100% success rate! I've been following her work for years now and it's one of those sites where you just gasp at the beauty of the photos and simply forget where you are, remembering at some point much later that you're on planet Earth.... you just look and salivate, look and salivate....and the best part, she creates these with love and joy and hopes to bring the benefits of this lifestlye to the masses.
